Adding "Year in Review" and "Best of the Year" Pages

The TreeRing year in review pages are pre-designed pages that include highlights from the year in sports, music, politics, etc. You may also choose to replace the pre-populated content with your own.

Here's how to add the year in review pages to your book:

1. Log in and select Yearbook.

2. Scroll to the bottom of the layout page.

3. Click on Add Pages.

4. Select Pre-Designed Pages.

5. Click on the Year in Review and/or Best of the Year page spreads.

6. Click on Select to add the pages to your book.

7. Once the pages are added to your book they can be edited or moved just like any other page in the book.

Is there any way to use one of the Year in Review Pages as the School-wide Alternate page for those not opting to create their own custom pages?

Cindy, that is an excellent question!

Thanks, Aaron for the great pages!

Yes, good idea. Sorry it's not an obvious solution.

    1) Add the Year in Review page to the core book
    2) Open the page to edit
    3) Select all (CTRL-A) and copy (CTRL-C)
    4) Switch to Alternate Pages and paste (CTRL-V)

You'll need to set the background manually.

Thanks so much, both for the pages and the quick response! It worked. (And, it should have been pretty obvious to me...I almost had it, but my computer's hesitancy with the CTRL commands made me lose confidence.)

This hasn't worked for me. Thought it was maybe my browser at fault so I switched from IE to Firefox. The paste function doesn't work at all. I'm also confused about the bit about the background and setting it manually. Photo? Template? Pattern? Color? I even went into the Alternate page and deleted all the photo and text boxes so the CTRL-V would have a clean slate to paste to.

    What am I doing wrong?

    Hi Lillian,
I just added the year in review to your alternate pages location for you.
Not sure why the copy/paste was not working for you...

FYI, the background is under Template (templates = TreeRing designs, Photos = your photos, Color = colors, Patterns = patterns)

    Aaron,

Thanks, that wasn't the page we wanted, but more importantly need to know why wasn't working. It was a browser problem!!

I figured it out. Only works when using CHROME as the browser. I hate CHROME because I resent Google getting a bead on us, but probably is the default browser for the rest of the civilized world.

Appreciate all your help. The Year in Review pages are great. With the different options it is hard to decide which one for the alternate. And which one(s) for the core book.

    Blessings on you
    Lillian

    Hi Lillian,
    Glad you got it working!
The keyboard shortcuts should work in IE, Firefox, Chrome and Safari and we use them all here. Not wure why it didn't work in FF or IE for you, but glad you got it resolved.
