Changing the Viewing/Accessibility of Shared Folders

When a shared folder is created a folder type must be selected indicating who, in the school community, will be allowed access to the photos.  The choices for the folder type are personal, editors only, and all school shared.  At a later time it may be determined that access to a shared folder needs to be changed.  To change the folder type for a shared folder follow these steps:

1. Log in and select Photos.

2. Select the Shared Folder.

3. Select a different Folder Type in the dropdown.

I want to delete a folder and I don't see the delete option or the change share option there is nothing at the top of the folder I want to delete. I am also an editor so I don't understand why I'm not able to do this.

    Hi Myissha,
The reason you can't delete/change a Shared Folder is because you are a STAFF Editor. We only allow CHIEF Editors to make those changes.

    Hi Beth,
Yes, you can move photos between folders. Here's a link to an article to do that https://treering.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/200016765-Copying-And-Moving-Photos-Between-Folders-And-Portrait-Sections

You can view the keywords by hovering over the image in folder and clicking the (i) icon to see the photo larger and all of its details.

When I open a My Folder there is no drop down box to change it to editor or all school. Now what?

Hi Kim - My Folders are personal folders and parents can't change them to shared folders.

Sorry, I'm confused about how to create a shared folder. I am a teacher, and someone created a shared folder for me, but I want to separate events and share them that way instead of putting them all in one place. When I click on Photo, then click add folder, then shared folder, the end result is not a shared folder. It has the title I gave it, but it does not have the "Shared" banner on it. If it doesn't have this shared banner, does that mean I am the only one who can view and use the photos, or can everyone still see and use them?

Hi Erin - Only Editors can create shared folders. Since you are not part of the yearbook team you can only create personal folders for yourself. Only you can see the photos in your personal folder when you set the privacy of the photos to Private/Only Me. If you set the privacy of your photos to All School & Friends others will be able to see and use them.

I am trying to see photos uploaded by my students - It shows 0 photos/folders, however students have added photos to various pages. How do I view the photos they have already added other than clicking on each individual page of the yearbook?

    Hi Anna,
If your students choose to upload their photos as "private/only me." You won't see their pics. A great way to help organize photos for the yearbook team is to created "Editor Only" shared folders that only your yearbook team will see.
