VIDEO: Adding, Duplicating, and Copying and Pasting Text

When you want to add text to a page you will need to add a text box.  After you have added text to the box you can duplicate the text box, copy and paste the text to another page, and copy text from outside of TreeRing (your email, Word, etc) and paste it in the text box.

This video shows you how to add a new text box, copy and paste an entire text box, and how to copy text from Microsoft Word and paste it into your yearbook.

Hint 1: To copy a text box, press the ESC key and then CTRL-C, or click on the Duplicate This Object icon in the editing frame around  the text box.

Hint 2: To move a text box, press the ESC key then use the arrow keys to move it, or click on the text box and drag it to where you want it.

I am using Internet Explorer (normally I use Mozilla) because it is the only browser accepting Flash which Treering requires, but I can NOT paste text into Treering from an outside source. Is there an add-in or something? Please advise.

    Hi David,
When pasting text from an outside source, try double clicking into the text box on TreeRing. Sometimes it takes one click to switch focus to the browser and then another click to get focus back in the text box...

    Hi Aaron,
I have tried that and it doesn't work in Internet Explorer. I saw a comment from someone else that they had the same problem, but it worked in Chrome. However, I can't get Treering to load in Chrome because of the issue with Flash being out of date?? It only loads in Internet Explorer where cut and paste text doesn't seem to work. Please advise. Thank you.

I'm not sure what's up David. It's working on every machine I can find in both Internet Explorer, Edge and Chrome. All of the computers I'm testing with are on the latest version of Chrome and Internet Explorer and Edge. In the interest of just getting your content onto the page, could you email us the content and we could paste it for you?
