Change Password or Get Account Activation Link for Users

As a chief editor you have the ability to change any user's password and if a user is not receiving the activation email you can copy their activation link. Copying the activation link will copy it to your clipboard so that you can paste it and manually email it to the user. This is used primarily if the user is not receiving the TreeRing emails but you can also use this link to activate student editor accounts by pasting the link into your browser and then following the prompts.

    We are starting a new year for our yearbook Livingstone Academy..... How do we go about changing the administrator? Will Jessica need to write an email? We have a new teacher handling the yearbook this year. Thank you for your time. Mrs. Townsel

    Your previous Chief Editor (Jessica) can do it from the Manage Team area or you can contact us to take care of it for you if she is unavailable.

    If I'm starting a new school year, is there a way to mass change all student passwords to the same thing and force them to change it to a new one? Students don't remember last year's passwords, so I have to change them all individually.

    Hi Stacey - There is not a way for you to mass change the students' passwords but we can do it for you. If you would like us to assist you with this please contact customer support.

    Can you add student editors without an email address?

    Hi Kristina - No. All student editors need to have an email address to be added to the yearbook team. It does not need to be a real email address. You can enter bogus emails for the student editors and then use the activation link to activate their account. They will then need to use the email you entered for them to log in with their password.

    Hi Aimee - All of your parents/editors need to activate their account. During this process they will create a password and then use their email and password to log in. If they did not receive the invitation email to activate their account, you can resend it to them.
